This book is a jewel of literature as it describes a topic not often told about in the regions where I live. This is an excellent introduction to the life of the Scandinavian culture of hundreds ago as it tells a story based on history. The allusions and references to the real elements of the Vikings are faithful, which makes it a great intro to their culture.
