Prize-winning children's favourite Dick King-Smith has taken a departure into the world of fantastic nonsense to create a charming tale about friendship.

Blurb

A nonsense story about Og and Ut, the gombrizils, who make friends with Tumblerum Wollycobble, the slobbadunk. They cure his indigestion and he helps them hatch their egg and bring up their daughter, Okay. Now part of the family, Tumblerum watches Okay grow up and saves her life when a tree falls on her during a storm. Eventually Okay marries and Tumblerum hatches her eggs. They all live happily under the mishmash trees.

'Under the mishmash trees is a very good book. My favourite character is Ut. She is kind, caring and helpful. She laid an egg. It was a blue egg. She kept it warm and it hatched into a girl. The girl grew up and got married and then she laid two eggs, one blue and one pink. A boy was in the pink one and a girl was in the blue one. They were called Pinky and Bluebell I think. The story has a happy ending.'
