The gods of Olympus are alive in the 21st Century. They still fall in love with mortals and have children who might become great heroes, but most of these children meet horrible fates at the hands of monsters by the age of twelve. Only a few learn the truth of their identity and make it to Half Blood Hill, a Long Island summer camp dedicated to training young demigods. Such is the revelation that launches young Percy Jackson on a quest to help his real father, Poseidon, avert a war among the gods.
With the help of Grover the satyr and Annabeth the daughter of Athena, Percy must journey across the United States to catch a thief who has stolen the original weapon of mass destruction - Zeus' master bolt. Along the way, they face a host of mythological enemies determined to stop them. Most of all, Percy must come to terms with a father he has never known, and an Oracle that has warned him of betrayal by a friend.
Find out what happens next in Percy Jackson 2 (Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters).

'Percy is a normal kid. Or more likely, a normal kid to any old stranger, but he''s not. He is the son of the greek god, Poseidon. Poseidon is one of the big three gods, the control many things like dead people. Percy''s friend Grover is also a normal kid, yeah right! Grover is a satyr, which is someone half goat and half human. After a hauting meeting with a Fury Grover takes Percy to Camp Half Blood, a camp for Demi Gods. There he meets Annabeth, who is a daughter of Athena.
This book has all the ingredients of a fantasic book, adventure, cliff hanger and its also just downright funny! Read it, and you won''t ever regret it. '

I think the Percy jackson books are stunning ,and i'm definately know that i will buy and read all 5 books! In my oppinion i recon that Rich should write a follow up book of the time Thalia, Luke and Annabeeth spent together! Once again i would definatly buy them! Please make book #4 and 5 will be the best! Keep writing!

Percy jackson and the lightning theif is a book i read more than once. There isn't a bit that disappointed me other than when i found the god percy's father was, but i did start feeling grateful it wasn't zeus after a while. I have read all books upto the third which i will buy on the 26th of march in a trip. A book that you cannot drop.
