Three children. Alone on the ocean waves, after a fierce storm throws their parents from the Pamela Jane into the icy waters below. Maya, Simon and Penny now face a wild rescue adventure that will lead them to a truly magical place . . .
Imagine an island with green mountains looming over pink sandy beaches and tide pools lit by the moon. An island with the darkest of secrets, where pirates lurk and jaguars roam – and a precious stone holds a power that is both wondrous and terrifying. This is where the children must go.
No one from the Outside has escaped the island before. Danger is everywhere. But they can’t turn back now. Could you?
Perfect for fans of Enid Blyton – classic tales of adventure, friendship, families and fun.

'I think the Lost Island of Tamarind is a very good book and I can''t put it down!
I think it is very emotional when Seagrape disappears and also when Maya gets separated from Simon and Penny! I think Helix is a very useful character but it would improve the story if we knew a little more about him and his family. I thought it was very interesting when they got kidnapped by the Lady who rides the Jaguar and how Seagrapes feathers saved them. I also got hooked when I heard what was written in the Logbook and when Helix says that he has the same picture as in the Logbook I am loving the book and I can''t wait to read the sequel!!!!!!!!!!!!! 'This is a great book. I finished it in 3 days, once I started, I could''nt put it down! It''s full of adventures, everything about it is great. But there should''ve been more friendship between Maya and Helix, just an opinion. If you''re looking for a great book full of adventures, The Lost Island Of Tamarind is what you should read.'

'I love this book sooooo much, it is the best book i have ever read! I would recommend it to someone who likes mystery and happiness mixed together. Everyone who has read it will agree with me, the main characters are Maya=13 Simon=9 Penny=8months. It can get very sad at some parts but the characters make you happy again...'

'Hi Nadia
I am 9 and I love reading all kinds of books but this is the best book ever. Do you think there might be a film one day? Please write another book as I only have 164 pages left and I am worried that I won''t be able to find another fantastic book like this!'

'Luke is 9 and has dyslexia so doesn''t read independantly but loves being read to, so we read this together as a bedtime adventure and just finished reading it last night. We both agree it is one of the best books we have ever read. We have had some late nights as we just couldn''t put it down. Luke was really drawn into the story and it is the first book we''ve read in which he could really imagine all the characters, so much so that he thought the local baker was the image of Helix! We can''t wait until the next installment - bedtime will be boring tonight! Hurry up with the next one, please! We think it would make an excellent film too.'
