'It is Dad''s birthday so Spot and his Mummy are going to make a cake. Spot "helps" in just the same way a toddler would .... breaking the eggs, ''mixing'' the cake in an enthusiastic manner, helping with decorating it etc. Needless to say it looks like a dog''s dinner but Daddy Dog loves it. This is a good sturdy hardback book with lots of flaps to lift and see exactly how Spot is helping Mummy. My 2 year old loved it and we had to read it 4 times on the first day. The book gives a child''s view of the cake making but an adult can read it with a wry smile at the reality of the situation. A fun little story.'
