'This book is aimed at 3-5 year olds and deals with everyday situations where children need to take extra care, for example, near water, the cleaning materials cupboard, the cooker, etc etc. The language used was appropriate for this age group. Each scenario produces a ''positive'' outcome, for example Topsy and Tim stop a baby from putting a tiny toy in his mouth and ''save his life''. However reading the whole book in one go left ME as an adult feeling panicky and scrabbling on the floor for bits of discarded Playmobil and looking for hob guards in B&Q..... so I read this in ''stages'' with my kids as I didn''t want to make them feel as if they can''t move for danger! Hence 3 stars. I felt personally this had the potential to be a little bit too overwhelming for a small child unless it is, itself, used with caution :)'
